Circulation Services
About Circulation Services
The Circulation Department is responsible for the lending and returning of library materials. Our services ensure that you have access to the resources you need in a timely and efficient manner. Below is an overview of the key aspects of our circulation services.
Borrowing and Returning Materials
Library members can borrow materials from the library collection. When you're done with the materials, please return them to the circulation desk or drop them off at our book return station. Ensure that all items are returned on or before the due date to avoid overdue fines.
Loan Periods
Loan periods vary by item type and user category. General books typically have a loan period of two weeks, while reserve materials may have shorter loan periods. Check the due date on your receipt or online through our library system.
Renewals
You may renew most borrowed items unless they have been reserved by another patron. Renewals can be made online, in person, or by phone. Please note that renewals are subject to certain conditions and limitations.
Overdue Fines and Lost Items
To encourage the timely return of materials, overdue fines are charged for late returns. Lost or damaged items must be reported immediately, and replacement costs may be incurred. Please refer to our circulation policy for details on fines and penalties.
Reserve Materials
Certain high-demand materials are placed on reserve and have restricted loan periods. These materials are kept behind the circulation desk and are available for short-term use only. Reserve materials are intended to ensure that all patrons have fair access to essential resources.
